Types of Mesh Weaves
Most often used as baler bags, mesh produce bags are woven and/or knit bags designed for agricultural products. The mesh allows products to breathe freely – making them ideal for certain agricultural applications.
There are two types of mesh weaves that differentiate mesh produce bags – Leno and Raschel types.
- Leno weaves are more stable (as in, they stretch less than other weaves), are “L sewn”, and woven on looms.
- Raschel weaves are softer than Leno weaves, are L sewn or tubular, and are made on machines designed for knitting.

Uses and Advantages of Mesh Produce Bags
Mesh produce bags are best suited for a variety of industry applications, specifically:
