Commonly referred to as pallet boxes, bulk boxes, or skid boxes, Gaylord boxes are pallet sized boxes used for storage and shipping of bulk materials and quantities. Although an older product, they are still used widely across a variety of agricultural applications.
Although they are called various names, the specific term “Gaylord” refers to a triple wall corrugated pallet box. The name itself comes from the origin of the product – the Gaylord Container Company of St. Louis, Missouri which has since been acquired by Crown Zellerbach of San Francisco (source).
