Custom Poly Bags for Your Agricultural Application

The term poly bags is a very general industry term that’s used commonly across a variety of industries. However, in agriculture, when we use the term “poly bag” we are referring to a few products: consumer poly bags and baler poly bags. Each have their uses within the agricultural space and are a great option for a variety of applications.

Consumer Custom Poly Bags

Consumer grade custom poly bags are smaller poly bags that are typically filled with the product (like potatoes). They can be used to fill larger baler bags. They come in a variety of sizes and weight classes (typically 3lb., 5lb., 8lb., 10lb., etc.). They also have vent holes to allow the product inside to breath. This is necessary on poly bags because polyethylene as a material does not breath naturally. Due to the nature of polyethylene, full photo-quality custom prints are available as well.

Baler Custom Poly Bags

Baler poly bags are larger 50lb. balers designed to hold the smaller consumer ready poly bags. Like their smaller counter parts, they support photo-quality prints and have vent holes to allow the product to breathe. Unlike paper balers, poly balers DO NOT have the checkboxes printed on them on generic versions.

Advantages of Custom Poly Bags

Polyethylene is a strong, durable material which makes it ideal for many agricultural applications. One of the biggest advantages of poly over alternative materials is the ability to do photo-quality prints. Poly bags can also have their construction fully customized (including the top construction) to accommodate the filling equipment in any given facility.
